"The world needs all kinds of minds."
               Dr. Temple Grandin

Led by young people passionate about fostering curiosity and celebrating differences, MINDest is a safe space to explore the power of neurodiversity and disabilities. We believe our strengths lie in acceptance, kindness and compassion – and that inclusion begins when learn to value diversity instead of hiding it.

How MINDest Began

Get to Know Us

Thailand has the second highest bullying rates among school-children annually, and the crux of conflict is often rooted in ignorance over our protected characteristics. Inspired to tackle the systemic issue of bullying and school violence, we created MINDest to teach students to normalise and learn aboout differences - and why they are important.

MINDest aims to be an inclusive and sympathetic space educating the next generation of students to celebrate and accept differences, rather than hide and target them.

Our Approach

Curiosity → Conversation → Understanding → Inclusion

Why Neurodiversity Matters

No one can argue that the tropical rainforests in South America, or the polar deserts in the Arctic, are not vital to sustaining life on earth. Similarly, our minds all work in different ways–and oftentimes, it is this difference which brings about the beauty of the human race.

Neurodiversity refers to celebrating the ways we see the world differently -- in all different shades, colours and shapes. Understanding and empathising with people who think differently to you allows us to foster strong relationships, bravery and kindness. The world would be boring if we all thought in the same way, wrote in the same way, talked in the same way; all art would look the same, all books would read the same, and every conversation would be a repeat of the last one. The differences in the way we think ultimately make the world a more vibrant and fun place to live in.

Un-mind the Gap

To us, to 'un-mind the gap' means learning to unlearn shying away from systemic barriers or obstacles between people – instead creating connections in spite of barriers and across differences, in order to see things you thought you might never see.

Our Team.

MINDest is shaped by young people exploring neurodiversity with curiosity and care.
